Edgy & Elegant: Michael and Shelby Get Married

Where do I even begin with Shelby…

She’s easily one of the most original, spirited, and effortlessly cool brides I’ve had the joy of working with—and I think the photos speak for themselves. Shelby has always had a love for black (yes, even when it comes to florals), and she knew from the start that she wanted to bring that boldness into her wedding day.

We wove black roses, anemones, and rich scabiosa into her arrangements, leaning fully into that striking black-and-white vision. What made it cohesive, though, were the fresh green stems and wild touches of greenery—they brought everything to life in such a natural, balanced way. Edgy, elegant, and just so her.

I’m so grateful Shelby trusted me to help bring this vision to life. It was such a fun, unexpected creative challenge—and one I’ll never forget.
